Hi from Helena!
Hello, Every One!
Phil and I arrived Helena last Monday. He returned to testify in a hearing so we took the opportunity to catch up with friends and family here and do taxes! Will return to Nassau and the boat on April 19th.
We had alot of fun with the kids aboard as you can probably tell from the photos. They, big and small, are great sailors and water babies. At one point Jordan exclaimed while jumping in and out of the water "This is what I was born to do!" R.T. made his snorkeling debut and is already an accomplished underwater photographer!
It's been grand to be in warm water with beautiful fishes and white sand beaches. After all the time spent getting ready, we were quickly reminded why we thought sailing was a good idea in the first place! The Exumas are a contrast to New Providence as they aren't inhabited, at least not by folks. We continue to be met by helpful, friendly beings be they native Bahamians or fellow/sister cruisers.
Craig and his family will join us a few days after we return to Nassau. They'll be with us until the lst of May. Then we'll have another month in the Bahamas until we need to find a safe place to store 'Take Two' for the hurricane season. Our insurance company insists!
Thanks for staying tuned. Our access to internet is practically non-existent while we're out island though we do have sail mail (e-mail) aboard now. We can be reached at: WDC4380@sailmail.com. We've heard that some of you are having a hard time posting a note to us. Just click on the word "comment" located at the end of each paragraph or photo. Scroll down to the end of any existing comments and post your own! Good luck! It really is a gift to be able to hear from you.
Hope you and yours are well and happy more often than not. Until next time.....
Love,
Judy.....& Phil

Hey ! Thanks for tipping me off to this. It'll be great to keep up with y'all.
Smooth sailing, Roger & Katherine
Hi to you both! Have done some further checking on sites for haulout and work as well as storage during the storm season. I also purchased a new Florida Cursing book with lots of in on yards etc. I am finding that there are a limited number of places with the capicity to lift your cat. Bob ands Annies here in SJC willnot have a spot open until October. The yard on the beach has spots available beginning at the end of May on in to June. I did find one yard in the Savannah area that can haul the boat and also has limited dry storage. I have purchased a new boating guide and am in the proccess of trying to ID possible plaaces for haul out and work. Not many in N. FL, but it appears there are some in the lower Atlantic coast area. Understand and agree your concern about the one in the Keys, thought they haven't been hit in years. Matt is graduating in a couple of weeks and has decided to go to college at Dayton Beach JC. He has a soccer buddy in school in the area, so he thinks its a grand plan. We'll see! I am till doing a bit of consulting and Marcia continues to work for Mark. We're both ready to do some traveling soon, but have no formal plans as of now other than a quick trip to MO to see my daughter and her family before the leave for Australia for a couple of years. Let me know if I can help with arrangements stateside, and as always you are welcome here. May have found yet another site on the same canal for your consideration. Fair winds and calm seas!!!!
John T. and Marcia
