Hi from Helena!
Hello, Every One!
Phil and I arrived Helena last Monday. He returned to testify in a hearing so we took the opportunity to catch up with friends and family here and do taxes! Will return to Nassau and the boat on April 19th.
We had alot of fun with the kids aboard as you can probably tell from the photos. They, big and small, are great sailors and water babies. At one point Jordan exclaimed while jumping in and out of the water "This is what I was born to do!" R.T. made his snorkeling debut and is already an accomplished underwater photographer!
It's been grand to be in warm water with beautiful fishes and white sand beaches. After all the time spent getting ready, we were quickly reminded why we thought sailing was a good idea in the first place! The Exumas are a contrast to New Providence as they aren't inhabited, at least not by folks. We continue to be met by helpful, friendly beings be they native Bahamians or fellow/sister cruisers.
Craig and his family will join us a few days after we return to Nassau. They'll be with us until the lst of May. Then we'll have another month in the Bahamas until we need to find a safe place to store 'Take Two' for the hurricane season. Our insurance company insists!
Thanks for staying tuned. Our access to internet is practically non-existent while we're out island though we do have sail mail (e-mail) aboard now. We can be reached at: WDC4380@sailmail.com. We've heard that some of you are having a hard time posting a note to us. Just click on the word "comment" located at the end of each paragraph or photo. Scroll down to the end of any existing comments and post your own! Good luck! It really is a gift to be able to hear from you.
Hope you and yours are well and happy more often than not. Until next time.....
Love,
Judy.....& Phil
